Questions to ask:
Applicant ID number : Check credit platform, is there an application?
- YES: If status is VERIFIED, confirm applicant name, number & email address. Give CAP number as reference for payment
- YES: If status is anything other than verified - confirm applicant name, number & email address. Ask them to use student ID number as payment reference
- NO: Ask:
Do you have an invoice from the institution they will be studying at?
- YES - what is the name of institution (check if educational institution), what is the date of the invoice (should be within last 3 months), do you see the student details on the invoice (to prove student is registered), do you see a balance due (to confirm loan amount).
- If all the above is checked - they can disburse loan and use applicant ID number as payment reference, then send an email to applications@capiteceducationfinance.co.za with:
Subject: Proof of payment - Applicant name - ID number and put in the body of the email the Applicant name, Applicant ID number, Applicant email address. If student is different to applicant, please also put student name, ID number and student number
- If all the above is checked - they can disburse loan and use applicant ID number as payment reference, then send an email to applications@capiteceducationfinance.co.za with:
- NO - we need an invoice to know if the student is registered at an educational institution, they should first obtain that to continue as we don't have any information on our side
